Well all of those really.....
My DNA journey started in December 2018 when my husband and son bought me a 23andme DNA test for Christmas…. 5 years later and some unexpected discoveries along the way – like my dad’s biological father was not who we thought! I have developed my DNA skills by helping adoptees and those with unknown parentage discover their true ancestry. I am passionate about restorative genealogy.
My first Degree was in Mathematics (BSc) and my second in law (LLB). I have worked as a lawyer for 25 years+ and am still practising in the United Kingdom. I am a member an Assocaite Member of AGRA (Association of Genealogists and Research Archivists), a Student Member of the RQG (Register of Qualified Genealogists) and am a student of IHGS (Institute of Heraldry and Genealogical Studies) in Canterbury. I am also a member of the Guild of One Name Studies with an interest in the surnames Hitch and Sandilands. I also belong to several Family History Societies and write occasional book reviews for the Society of Genealogists.
